This inner city area of Birmingham was a derelict wasteland when Argent purchased the land in 1993. 20 years later, we are still involved, and Brindleyplace has been transformed into a vibrant and popular part of the city. The multi-award-winning scheme includes offices, shops, bars and cafes and leisure spaces, set around three new public squares. As the tourism website for Birmingham says, tree-lined squares, international cuisine and an enviable canalside location make Brindleyplace one of Birmingham’s most exciting destinations. Paradise is located in the historic civic heart of Birmingham and is widely recognised as one the most important city centre developments in the UK outside London. Work started on the 17-acre development scheme in early 2015 which will be transformed into a vibrant, 1.8m sqft office-led development of commercial, civic, retail, leisure and hotel space, providing major improvements to pedestrian access across the city and greatly enhanced public realm befitting its exemplary historic setting. The development will seamlessly integrate individually designed Grade A office buildings, ground-level retail, cafes, and restaurants and high-quality public realm, with Birmingham’s most historic squares and listed buildings.
