Argent (Property Development) Services LLP is a limited liability partnership. The Partners own the business, which is run by a senior team of nine. Many of the Partners have been working together for more than ten years.
André joined Argent in 1998 and became a director in 2004. Over the years he has worked on Argent’s London projects, including two office developments in the City of London.
Since 2001, he has worked primarily on the King’s Cross redevelopment – in particular on land assembly, business planning, finance, infrastructure and environmental sustainability. He is responsible for integrating these aspects into the construction and delivery of the scheme. Together with Nick Searl, he is leading Argent Related’s development of Brent Cross South.
Before joining Argent, André was a structural engineer at Arup, working on Hong Kong and Zurich airports and the Osaka Maritime Museum. He also worked in the Caribbean delivering a new port facility in Montserrat.
André is a director of Metropolitan King’s Cross Limited, the energy service company at King’s Cross. He is a member of the British Council for Offices and sits on the British Property Federation Construction Committee.
Anna is the Managing Partner at Argent, and leads the Executive Management Board in the day to day operation of the business.
Previously Anna led the asset management team driving the performance of the investment assets, estate management, property management, placemaking and regeneration initiatives at Argent’s King’s Cross development and is developing strategies for Argent’s new schemes.
Anna also led the development of the Coal Drops Yard, a unique retail scheme at the heart of King’s Cross. She works closely with the marketing, public realm and retail leasing teams as well as the development team. She has an in-depth knowledge of all asset classes, from development to management, and works at a strategic and operational level.
In addition, Anna is leading the development of Argent Related’s Build to Rent portfolio.
Before joining Argent in 2008, Anna worked for the planning and development team at Arup leading a number of planning and regeneration projects for the public and private sector. Anna did a degree in economic history and has an MPhil in economic history and an MA in property valuation.
Anna believes passionately in creating successful places for all who live, work and visit them.
David joined Argent in 1990, he was appointed Joint Chief Executive in 2006, Managing Partner of the new Argent LLP in 2012 and is Joint CEO of the Argent Related Partnership. In 2019 David became the Senior Partner of Argent. He had overall responsibility for all Argent business, including structuring and establishing financial and management programmes. He oversaw the sourcing, master planning, building design, financing and legal aspects for all projects.
David is Junior Vice President of the British Property Federation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of UKGBC. He is a Past President of the British Council for Offices, was one of the founding members and now ex-Chairman of both the Piccadilly Partnership in Manchester and the King’s Cross and St Pancras Business Partnership Ltd and is ex-Chairman of CityCo in Manchester.
David read architecture at Cambridge and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and has served on a number of RIBA practice committees.
In May 2015, David was awarded NW Insider Property Personality of the Year, and in April 2014, David jointly won the Property Week Personality of the Year Award with Roger Madelin.
Mike joined Argent in 2007 and is a founding partner of the Argent (Property Development) Services LLP. As CFO Mike oversees the financial aspects of Argent and its projects including cash flow, allocation of budgets across projects, reporting and the raising of third party funding. From 2007 to 2014 Mike was responsible for managing the overall business plan for the King’s Cross project.
Before joining Argent, Mike worked at Swiss Re where he was a member of the management team within the Global Operational Risk Group and, prior to this, he spent seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UK and the Caribbean.
He is a Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Structural Engineering.
Mike is a Governor at the King’s Cross Academy school, a new school built as part of the King’s Cross project.
Outside Argent, Mike enjoys a range of sports, including skiing, sailing and cycling.
Morwenna Hall, a chartered mechanical engineer, is the COO of developer Argent LLP. She joined the firm in 2011 and in addition to her corporate leadership role has led the design and delivery of several major projects at King’s Cross, including the Coal Drops Yard; a new shopping destination for London with 65 retail units in the repurposed Victorian coal sheds which opened to the public in October 2018.
Morwenna started her career at Arup as a mechanical building services engineer where she gained seven years’ experience working in building design teams. During this time, she was the lead mechanical engineer for the Sainsbury Laboratory in Cambridge, designed by Stanton Williams architects, which in 2012 won the most sought-after accolade in the industry – the RIBA Stirling Prize. In 2015 Morwenna featured in Property Week’s ‘Forty under 40’ list of young entrepreneurs, disrupters and leaders.
Morwenna has a passion for all aspects of design and was one of the 27 women showcased in the 2014 ‘Women Fashion Power’ exhibition at the Design Museum, alongside Princess Diana, Dame Vivienne Westwood and Dame Zaha Hadid.
Nick is a Partner of both Argent and Argent Related. Having spent almost 10 years working on King’s Cross, where his main priority was leading the commercial team dealing with the definition, strategy, leasing and management of the office and retail components, Nick now leads Argent Related’s 10 million sq ft Brent Cross South development in north London. At a corporate level, Nick is also involved in securing new development opportunities for Argent Related and is responsible for the marketing and promotional activities of the business.
Before joining Argent in late 2007, Nick worked with Chelsfield and European Land at Paddington Basin, where he delivered The Point and Waterside buildings for M&S and Orange respectively, and was also the development manager responsible for obtaining planning permission for the Merchant Square development. Prior to that Nick spent almost 5 years working on large developments in the Far East.
Nick is chairman of the BCO London awards panel and is also chairman of trustees for the charity Club Peloton that organises the cycle rides to Mipim, Mapic and other industry events each year.
Robert joined Argent Group PLC in 2001 and became an Executive Director in 2004. In 2012 he became a founding Partner of the new LLP. Robert has overall responsibility for its residential projects and oversees communications and public affairs. He is one of the Partners charged with seeking out and securing new development opportunities. Robert is the CEO of the King’s Cross development.
Robert has led the planning work at King’s Cross since 2001 and sits on the King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership Board. Robert has also been involved in Argent projects in Manchester and the Thames Valley.
Robert is a Member of the King’s Cross Academy Trust that sponsors the King’s Cross Academy school. He is also Chair of Governors. Robert is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Before joining Argent, Robert worked in planning and environmental consultancy and gained experience in a wide range of public and private sector development and infrastructure projects in the UK, Canada and Norway.
Tom joined Argent in 2012 and is the Head of Residential for Argent Related, over-seeing a pipeline of over 8,000 new homes across London, and CEO of the Argent Related Tottenham Hale development, leading the team which will deliver over 1.2m sqft of development including over 1,030 new homes. Prior to this Tom was responsible for the residential product at the King’s Cross development including the delivery of the Gasholders apartments.
Before joining Argent, Tom worked in project management consultancy and as a practicing Architect on numerous large-scale mixed-use schemes including the Shard and the London 2012 Athlete’s Village. Tom is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and also sits on their Housing Group.
Will joined Argent in 2006 and works on Argent’s mixed use schemes. He also leads on commercial developments and leasing at King’s Cross where he is responsible for development totalling a gross value of £1.5bn. Will is also a specialist in refurbishment and re-use of historic buildings and structures.
At a corporate level, Will is involved in internal learning and development as well as strategic initiatives. He is also involved in new opportunities, commercial review, and structuring.
Will read Architecture at Sheffield University, and has a Masters in Planning and Development. Before joining Argent will worked in valuation, town planning and architecture.
He is chair of the British Property Federation’s Development Committee, sits on CoreNet’s UK Executive Board and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
